Weigh-in Wednesday - High Blood Pressure

This is my own personal account with High Blood Pressure and how I beat it!

I personally, for as long as I can remember, have had high blood pressure. Even when I was in high school, on a dance team at 123 lbs, I had high blood pressure because 1) it's in my genes and 2) I was still eating terribly!! (medium pizzas, big macs, fast food on a daily basis, large amounts of food because I was "young" and "could do whatever I wanted")

imprompTuesday - The Reason Behind the Name

Today I wanted to share with you how I came up with my blog name and what it means to me.

First off, my full name is Deanna Lynn Perkins and I thought it would be clever to utilize my initials in a blog name. Then I had to think of something catchy that would really capture the theme of my, food and fitness. I think it took me an entire day to come up with this name, but I finally decided on:

Coming Monday, September 28th

Hello to anyone who swings by before I've officially launched my blog, I appreciate your interest already!

I will be officially launching this site on Monday, September 28th and am taking the next two weeks to try to get all of my ducks in a row before then. :-)

I'm really looking forward to sharing my personal experiences in health, food and family...and truly hope that this helps to motivate other women and mothers out there!!!
