Menu Monday - Taco Pizza

Hey All,

This week our family will be enjoying:
  • Monday: Taco Pizza
  • Tuesday: Biscuits & Gravy
  • Wednesday: Pork Stir-fry
  • Thursday: Pork Loin w/Veggies
  • Friday: Spaghetti
  • Saturday: Tuna Melt Sandwiches
  • Sunday: Mother's Day!!
One of our more "guilty pleasure" meals is taco pizza. It's not the worse food we could eat, but not the healthiest either.  If you're looking for a meal that the kids will also enjoy, you should definitely give this one a try...



                             
 
Ingredients:
  • Thin crust, whole wheat pizza crust
  • Salsa
  • Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 pkg low sodium taco seasoning
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Chopped tomatoes
  • Sour Cream, optional
Instructions:
  • Sauté the onion and set aside when done
  • Brown the ground meat
  • Once the meat is browned, drain any fat
  • Stir the onions into the ground beef and set aside
  • Brush the pizza crust with olive oil
  • Put a layer of salsa on like you would pizza sauce
  • Place the cooked meat on next
  • Sprinkle cheese over the top and cook by the pizza crust instructions
  • Once finished, place the shredded lettuce and chopped tomatoes on top
  • Serve with more salsa and sour cream based on preference
