Highlighted Recipe - Herb Baked Tilapia
Our inspiration for this recipe came from: Paula Deen's Recipe on The Food Network
Ingredients:
2 Tilapia Fillets
1/2 t. Salt
1/2 t. Pepper
1 T Basil (we just use our seasoning)
1 t. Oregano (we just use our seasoning)
1 t. Onion Powder
2 minced garlic cloves
3 T olive oil
1 Large Tomato, thinly sliced
1 t. Lemon Juice
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees
- Mix salt, pepper, basil, oregano, onion powder, garlic and olive oil in a small bowl
- Pour contents over both pieces of tilapia to really marinate all the flavors
- Arrange tomato slices evenly and drizzle with lemon juice (we like adding the lemon juice even before cooking)
- Bake 20 - 25 minutes
- Add more lemon juice and enjoy!
